SR61 Villa Rica North Loop, GA

A three-leg multi-lane roundabout was proposed at the intersection of Georgia State Route 61 and the Villa Rica Bypass to provide a safer alternative to a stop-controlled intersection. The design accommodates oversize/overweight trucks and was coordinated with the City of Villa Rica and GDOT, meeting both GDOT and AASHTO specifications. The design also includes provisions for future traffic demand, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and water and sewer utilities installation along SR 61, with public outreach facilitated by Keck & Wood in line with GDOT guidelines.
