Keck & Wood, Inc. provided engineering services for the installation of a new 2.0 MGD Water Treatment Plant, including the preliminary engineering report, field services, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and construction contract administration. The project involved high-rate filtration, on-site raw water storage, an intake pump station on Lake Oconee, a 300,000-gallon prestressed concrete clearwell, and various transmission mains. To reduce costs, the project was completed through five separate construction contracts, engaging specialty contractors for each phase of work.
