Keck + Wood developed a gas system model for the City of Madison and conducted a detailed analysis of various scenarios to evaluate potential pressure improvement projects for the city. Our team created the gas modeling system by obtaining the city’s gas system map and creating a preliminary model using GasWorks™ 9.0. After preliminary modeling, we compared model pressures with those in the field to ensure accurate results. We also evaluated various scenarios to test the impact of improvements under different loading conditions. After conducting these analyses, Keck & Wood made several recommendations to optimize system performance.
