This project addresses peak-hour capacity constraints by widening SR 21 with additional eastbound and westbound lanes and adding turn lanes at the SR 21 and SR 30 intersection. Improvements include converting the intersection to an unsignalized restricted crossing U-turn (RCUT) for safety, adding dual right-turn lanes with signalization on SR 30 eastbound, and widening SR 30 westbound to create an extended merge lane for SR 21 northbound dual left-turn lanes. The traffic signal at the intersection will also be upgraded to accommodate the new geometry and improve traffic flow.
