GIS Support

Keck + Wood has provided GIS services for a variety of clients, including the City of York, the Town of Heath Springs, and Berkeley County. These projects involve a range of technical assessments, from mapping utility assets and utility inspections to performing geospatial analysis of data for conversions or calculating impervious surfaces. Our team tailors each of these solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients. 

For example, in support of the Town of Heath Springs, Keck + Wood completed a comprehensive mapping of its water and sewer assets and then performed hydraulic water pressure modeling using the collected GIS data. Using all of this data, several maps were created in ArcGIS to denote specific aspects of the utility system, including damaged utility or high pressure zones. Results from this project will be used by the Town to guide future replacement and maintenance schedules. 

For the City of Buford, our team conducted stormwater mapping that included inspections and field data collection, with the resulting information being manipulated in GIS to create detailed stormwater maps for the City.
