Burford Water Works, GA

Buford’s Water Works, originally built in the 1930s and upgraded in 1964 and 1994, was facing operational challenges due to aging infrastructure. The City hired KW to design a new facility using membrane technology, expanding its capacity from 2 million gallons per day to 2.5 million, with the potential to reach 5 million gallons. The project involves renovating the raw water pump station, constructing a new water pipeline, clearwell structures, high service pump station, and a membrane treatment system, with construction expected to be completed in Fall 2023.
